Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of equipment shipments across Canada and the U.S. This role requires strong coordination skills, a solid understanding of transportation regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics or transportation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for negotiating shipping rates, maintaining accurate records in business systems, and ensuring smooth customs clearance processes for both domestic and international shipments. This position will be based in Innisfil, Ontario and report to the Logistics Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Business Management, related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, 3PL coordination or similar role.
  • Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., CDK, or similar systems)
  • Experience with flatbed & step deck shipping regulations & procedures, including a general understanding of U.S and Canadian customs clearance procedures.
  • Experience with drive away carriers would be considered an asset
  • Experience with the import and/or export of vehicles and equipment is considered an asset
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, with a focus on Microsoft Excel, Smartsheets and Outlook
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate daily logistics planning, scheduling, execution of the shipping/relocation function of heavy equipment and Special Purpose Vehicles for both Canadian and U.S customers
  • Follow up and update the branches on all pick-up and delivery ETA's for all inbound and outbound truck and equipment moves
  • Collaborate with Sales, Rentals and Service departments to coordinate optimal shipment timelines
  • Continuously negotiate best pricing for all LTL & FTL equipment shipping within Canada & the U.S.
  • Effectively utilize JJE business systems to plan, execute and record all equipment shipments
  • Ensure effective communication occurs with customers, both internal and external and provide them with updates as required on their shipments
  • Partner with other departments to achieve organizational goals and maintain positive relationships
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned
