Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Billing & Settlement Analyst
to join our logistics operations team. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle billing process, including
accounts payable (AP)
and
accounts receivable (AR)
activities related to transportation, warehousing, and other logistics services.
The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying billing discrepancies, capable of coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and confident in utilizing ERP or TMS tools to streamline and improve the billing and settlement process.
Responsibilities
Process and verify all logistics-related invoices, ensuring accurate AR/AP records and proper cost allocation
Review and validate freight invoices against contracts, tariffs, and service agreements
Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve billing discrepancies and prevent aging issues
Prepare billing documents and supporting files to facilitate timely invoicing and payment
Manage accruals and ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition for each accounting period
Monitor invoice status through internal systems
Generate regular and ad-hoc financial and operational reports for internal stakeholders
Assist in creating and maintaining SOP documentation, training materials, and process standardization
Support monthly and quarterly closings, as well as financial audits as needed
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and finance teams to ensure alignment
Recommend improvements to billing accuracy, efficiency, and automation using relevant tools
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Logistics, or a related field
Experience in billing, AP/AR, or logistics operations is a plus
Proficiency in Excel (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, basic financial modeling/simulation)
Understanding of billing impact on P&L, cost centers, and freight margins
Strong communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
Detail-oriented and well-organized, capable of managing multiple billing cycles and meeting deadlines
Preferred:
Familiarity with freight documents (e.g., Bill of Lading, Proof of Delivery, rate sheets)
Experience with automation tools or billing software
High level of integrity and a strong work ethic
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
