Job Summary:

The

Logistics Coordinator

Co-op

will assist with the coordination and tracking of shipments for aircraft parts and maintenance materials across Porter's network. The successful candidate will support the Logistics team in executing daily shipment activities, working on special projects to improve shipping efficiency, and helping ensure timely and accurate movement of parts, especially in AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in aviation logistics and supply chain operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating domestic, international, and AOG shipments of aircraft parts and supplies. Support the tracking and documentation of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling. Work on logistics projects aimed at improving turnaround times, reducing shipping costs, and optimizing courier usage. Help review courier invoices and cross-check against shipment records for accuracy. Participate in analyzing freight costs and preparing data summaries for monthly reporting. Learn and support cross-border shipment processes including customs paperwork, bonded shipments, and broker coordination. Assist in maintaining accurate shipping records and support communication with internal departments and external vendors. Help document shipping procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Support special projects related to logistics systems integration, vendor performance tracking, or courier network optimization. Comply with Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) by reporting any hazards or incidents encountered in daily operations.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Logistics, Supply Chain, Aviation Management, or a related field. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Strong interest in aviation and/or logistics coordination. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with logistics tracking tools is an asset. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be eligible to obtain a Transport Canada Restricted Area Pass (RAIC) if required.
