Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and services, ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, and optimizing supply chain processes. This position requires strong analytical skills and experience with various logistics systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee warehouse distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of products. Manage purchasing processes, including sourcing materials and negotiating pricing with suppliers. Implement process improvements to enhance logistics operations and reduce costs. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to plan and monitor shipments effectively. Analyze data related to inventory levels, demand planning, and order fulfillment to support decision-making. Maintain accurate records within warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems, including AS400. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for shipping and receiving operations. Ensure compliance with packaging standards and oversee materials management processes. Assist in freight management, including tracking shipments and resolving any issues that arise during transit. Support order picking operations and ensure efficient handling of products within the warehouse.

Requirements

Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field, preferably with warehouse experience. Familiarity with supply chain processes, including procurement, demand planning, and freight management. Strong data analysis skills to interpret logistics metrics and identify areas for improvement. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS). Knowledge of e-commerce logistics practices is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required at hiring. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization. Pay: $38,190.75-$65,351.42 per year
