Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support shipping and logistics operations in a fast-paced chemical and manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for generating shipping documentation, coordinating with freight forwarders and carriers, preparing Dangerous Goods Declarations, and ensuring full compliance with domestic and international transportation regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience handling chemical products, including hazardous materials, and working knowledge of applicable shipping and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and export documentation for domestic and international shipments.
Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, LTL/TL carriers, and parcel services (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL), ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
Prepare and review Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGDs) in compliance with IATA, IMDG, and DOT regulations for chemical products.
Classify, package, and label hazardous materials according to applicable regulatory standards.
Monitor and track all outbound shipments, resolving delays or discrepancies proactively.
Provide freight rate quotations and transit time estimates for sales, customer service, and operations teams.
Organize and manage return shipments, including coordination with carriers and issuing return documentation.
File and manage transportation claims for lost, delayed, or damaged goods.
Maintain detailed and accurate shipping records in ERP systems and ensure all documentation is audit-ready.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations governing transportation of chemicals and hazardous materials.
Work closely with production, warehousing, customer service, and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) teams to ensure safe and compliant logistics operations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in logistics or shipping, preferably in a chemical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Working knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and documentation (IATA, IMDG, DOT).
Experience preparing and submitting Dangerous Goods Declarations.
Familiarity with ERP and shipping systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate across departments and maintain compliance under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current or prior IATA/IMDG/DOT certification for handling and shipping dangerous goods.
Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight forwarders.
Understanding of chemical product labeling (GHS, SDS) and environmental regulations.

Experience de 2 ans minimum dans un poste similaire, idealement en industrie chimique, manufacturiere ou environnement industriel.
Bonne connaissance des reglementations relatives aux matieres dangereuses (IATA, IMDG, ADR/DOT).
Experience dans la preparation et la gestion des Declarations de Marchandises Dangereuses (DGD).
Maitrise des systemes ERP et des outils d'expedition (ex : SAP, NetSuite, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).
Rigueur, sens de l'organisation, et capacite a gerer plusieurs taches en parallele.
