Cenovus is currently recruiting for a Logistics Control Advisor to join our West White Rose Project (WWRP) Team! The Logistics Control Advisor will coordinate logistical planning, support, and execution for the West White Rose Project (WWRP) to facilitate the movement of materials and people to the West White Rose Platform for offshore hook up and commissioning through to Operations with the SeaRose FPSO. Responsibilities include:


  • Logistics planning and support for the WWRP project especially offshore HUC and Marine scopes.

  • Logistics planning and execution of Platform as it transitions from WWRP to Operations.

  • Interfacing with WWRP and Operations to gain synergies for logistical planning/


This position is a full time, permanent position, located at our St. John\xe2\x80\x99s office during the project phase and will transition to an offshore rotation during operational phase.

Responsibilities:

  • Vessel Management Planning \xe2\x80\x93 Determine vessel requirements and coordinate vessel sailings to and from the Platform (offshore), ensuring timely delivery of equipment required to support offshore operations. Prepare inbound cargo manifests and provisional cargo load outs ensuring compliance to TDG regulation.

  • Marine Base \xe2\x80\x93 Determine marine base requirements for offshore hook-up and commissioning activities and integrate with existing facilities where possible.

  • Flight Operations \xe2\x80\x93 Determine flight requirements during hook-up and commissioning and operational phases for the Platform when integrated within the White Rose Field.

  • SIMOPS \xe2\x80\x93 Support WWRP Simultaneous Operations planning for execution years 2024 and 2025.

  • Personnel Movements \xe2\x80\x93 Plan the rotation of personnel movements required to support Platform operations.

  • Validation of mandatory travel certification \xe2\x80\x93 Ensure all personnel have mandatory training to travel offshore.

  • Interface with Operations Marine and Logistics team to optimize logistical synergies between Operations and WWRP.

  • Liaise with offshore logistics personnel to ensure coordination and timely delivery of offshore materials and bulks.

  • Weekly report detailing updates of activities and progress of assigned tasks.

  • Provide logistics recommendations and plans for Marine and Hookup and Commissioning of WWRP.

  • POB plans for people travelling offshore.

  • Cost estimates for identified logistical requirements (eg. Vessels, helicopters and marine base).


Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education would be an asset.

  • 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in an offshore logistics support position.

  • Knowledge of offshore aviation operations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

  • Logistics/Supply Chain Management training would be an asset.

  • Understanding supply chain management with respect to vessels, helicopters, and marine base operations.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.


Working Conditions:

  • Office based during project phase and will transition to an offshore rotation during operational phase.

  • This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening, a medical and driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract review.
