We are a specialty service, truck carrier located in Delta, B.C. who provides general cargo, refrigerated and bulk commodity transportation throughout the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and Washington State. We are a busy and growing company and are dedicated to providing excellent service to all of our customers - and our team makes this happen! From Truck Drivers to Accounts Receivable, our dynamic and supportive team carries out Aquatrans' success.

Nature of Position:




Full-time permanent position. Must be available to work in the Aquatrans office located in Delta, B.C., 5 days per week. Remote work is not available.

What You'll Do




As our Logistics Communication Specialist, you will have the opportunity to use your excellent communication skills to create and maintain strong relationships with our drivers and customers. You'll be responsible for communicating with customers regarding billable wait times, delays, questions, etc. You will also communicate frequently with our driving team to convey hazards, discuss comments, concerns, etc. You'll also be using your strong multitasking skills to provide support in a fast paced, high call volume office environment while also completing operational and data entry tasks.

This position is a valuable learning opportunity and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced office environment. This position would be a great fit for someone who has customer service experience in a high volume store, receptionist experience, or other customer service focused experiences.



You will:



Communicate frequently with drivers and customers to create and maintain a strong relationship Communicate and check in with customers regarding billable wait time, delays, issues, etc. Process and communicate work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers, supervisors, and customers. Receive and process transportation requirement requests from customers Book pick up and delivery appointments with customers Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure loads are completed Collect and audit paperwork and driver envelopes to ensure accuracy Provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding any shipment when requested by a customer, manager, etc. Advise drivers and customers about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, and other hazards Report safety concerns or damage from drivers, customers, etc. for resolution Enter and manage information in our transport software system Adhere to corporate and departmental policies and procedures Performs other duties as required

What You Need to Get the Job Done



High school diploma or GED required Experience providing high levels of customer service Technological skills and knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Office, POS systems, etc. Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times Able to work well under pressure and maintain calmness Flexible, ability to deal with change Strong attention to detail Very organized, with excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills Excellent customer service/communication skills Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
