Receives goods and materials for the organization at the loading dock locations.
Assist delivery/courier drivers and maintains an excellent working relationship.
Ensure that the correct safety practices/procedures are followed when delivery vehicles are in the delivery driveways at the loading docks.
Handheld count cart items up to PAR level
Ensure received materials match packing slip and note discrepancies
Delivery/putaway incoming materials on units and carts/shelves
Warehouse inventory management to ensure adequate stock on hand
Communicate/escalate shortage of items
Rotate items and audit close to expiry items
Building carts and item labelling on shelves/bins
Proficient in the operation of an industrial electric pallet truck, dock lifter, scissor lift equipment and freight elevator.
Ensure that equipment is functioning properly by troubleshooting to correct problems.
Proficient in INFOR computer software program (receiving, inventory and cart management) in order to track goods received and delivered.
Matches and assembles the goods and documentation for return of goods via appropriate courier to supplier.
Demonstrates safe handling practices for the organization and transportation of packages and mail
Communication with Procurement buyers, Accounts Payable clerks, vendors and end users.
Ability to prioritize tasks and change course of duties based on operational needs
Understand and follow health & safety and standard operating procedures/policies
Complete mandatory online courses
Wear uniform and safety shoes
Continuous communication with team members for effective and efficient work flow
Provides exceptional customer service and demonstrates a professional manner in the work setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate.
Current certification in the operation of an industrial electric pallet truck.
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in the operation of the dock lifter and scissor lift equipment.
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a Logistics Department.
A valid driver's license is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word 2010, Lawson, Intranet and Internet.
Successful completion of a secondary school diploma required.
Successful completion of a post-secondary community college program in a related field preferred.
Demonstrated oral, written and English language reading skills required in order to effectively communicate and/or respond to customer inquiries
Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) are required.
Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to prioritize tasks appropriately within the department and other Logistics departments.
Proven commitment to Mission and Values of the organization, as well as successful completion of the 7 mandatory employee modules.
Demonstrated excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
Excellent customer service skills with proven success in working in a team environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to work for 2 hours and push or pull a cart weighing 50-100 kg
Ability to work with gloves and other appropriate personal protective equipment.
Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
Ability to stand for long periods (up to 4 hours)
