Our people are our best and most important asset and through the development of this incredible team of people along with the growth of our business, we are now seeking to add a Logistics and Order Fulfillment Supervisor to support the growth of our business. The Logistics and Order Fulfillment Supervisor will oversee the order fulfillment team, managing the logistics and fulfillment activities for all customer transactions. DUTIES:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to the order fulfillment coordinators and truck drivers.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and goal setting activities; provide ongoing coaching and leadership to team members to inspire and motivate success.
  • Oversee order fulfillment activities.
  • Review and vet third-party carriers, maintaining and distributing to all staff a list of approved carriers.
  • Negotiate and maintain list of lane freight rates with third-party carriers to reduce sales quoting time.
  • Coordinate the freight rate quoting, pickup and delivery of unusual or specialized shipments.
  • Standardize the flow of logistics information and communication to all stakeholders.
  • Communicate with customers & sales representatives about freight details, delivery times, and special handling requests.
  • Manage the end-to-end logistics for specified product lines.
  • Consolidate small volume orders and collaborate with carriers to develop processes to mitigate product damage and loss.
  • Document issues in logistics process (NCR or CAR) determining best practice for corrective action.
  • Manage the dispatch schedule for all fleet and dedicated third party carriers, efficiently scheduling drivers/routes for economical deliveries.
  • Dispatch company drivers and dedicated third party carriers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Collect and review driver daily trip sheets, delivery documentation and pre-trip inspection reports, elevating issues to the appropriate party.
  • Process orders and coordinate with the customer, production, and the shipping department to complete on time order fulfilment and maintain up to date order invoicing.
  • Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in business, operations management, logistics or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant logistics experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team of employees.
  • Good knowledge of transportation regulations, laws and reporting requirements
  • Able to develop and maintain cohesive working relationships with all team members.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production-oriented work environment considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM such as NetSuite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
  • High attention to detail with above average math skills and the ability to independently analyze and determine discrepancies in trends or numerical data, investigate and resolve.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and tactfully to internal and external stakeholders.
