Position Summary:



We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics and Inventory Assistant to support our shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished products, from our suppliers to our customers. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic, capable of assisting with multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Shipping & Logistics Support:

Assist with preparing, packing, and shipping products, from individual components to complex electro-optical systems. Help with creating shipping labels, bills of lading, customs documentation for both domestic and international shipments, and resolving complications with shipping carriers.

Receiving:

Support the receiving process by unpacking, inspecting, and receiving/verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders. Accurately enter received goods into our inventory management system.

Inventory Management:

Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records and help with regular counts to ensure data integrity. Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring materials are easily accessible and stored correctly.

Facility Operations:

Help ensure the facility and shipping area is kept clean, safe, and organized in accordance with company standards.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the production, engineering, and sales teams to ensure materials are available for builds and that customer orders are shipped on time.

What You'll Need to Succeed:



Organizational Prowess:

Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and help resolve issues related to shipping and inventory.

Computer Literacy:

Proficiency with common office software, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for liaising with team members, suppliers, and shipping carriers.

Physical Stamina:

The ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs, and to stand for extended periods.

Time Management:

The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.

Self-Motivation:

The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications (Assets):



Previous experience in a logistics, shipping, or inventory role within a manufacturing or technology company. Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs documentation. Background in administration within an office environment.

Compensation:



Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour. Expected hours: 30-40 per week. Additional pay: Bonus pay, overtime pay.

Schedule:



8-hour shift. Day shift. Monday to Friday. Weekends and evenings as needed.

Location:



In-person position in Cranbrook, BC, must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
