Our client, a leading organization in transportation and logistics, is seeking a Transportation Operation Specialist to join their team. As a Transportation Operation Specialist, you will be part of the transportation operations department supporting network stability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Transportation Operation Specialist
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Pay Range: $28.65/hour
Shift: 7am to 3pm (Rotating)
What's the Job?

  • Monitor and analyze transportation network performance to identify discrepancies or delays.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and carriers to ensure accurate updates and coordination.
  • Manage operational or mechanical issues by facilitating recovery plans and coordinating with vendors and local teams.
  • Create, track, and resolve incidents using case management tools, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and performance gaps.
What's Needed?
  • College diploma or degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in transportation or logistics operations, preferably within a control tower or dispatching environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and recommend process improvements.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with case management systems, reporting tools, and data tracking is an asset.
