Keefer is looking for experienced Servers and Hospitality Rockstars to join their winter crew for this coming Catski Season!

Established in 2014, Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge is a remote luxury backcountry Catski Lodge. Located in a stunning natural environment near Cherryville, BC, our guests enjoy world-class catskiing in the winter and a range of private retreats, experiences and weddings throughout summer. We strive to offer unique and refined resort experiences with a home from home feel.

Job Summary



Reporting to the Lodge Management team, Servers/Lodge Hands are responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality services throughout a guests' stay. The focus of this role is to provide timely, accurate and friendly service while ensuring that our guests have the best dining experiences. Servers / Lodge Hands are also responsible for assisting with housekeeping, retail, administration and general guest services.

Lodge life requires a team orientated approach to work and a willingness to take on any task required to help the lodge succeed. Servers / Lodge hands should be willing and prepared to jump into any role within the lodge operations team, to ensure an overall outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities



Welcome guests to the lodge in a positive and engaging manner Set-up dining rooms and other food service areas for different meal periods Take orders from guests for food and beverage Provide a high standard of service during meal service. Provide beverage service as needed and maintain a good knowledge of our bar and wine menu Clean-up dining room and assist with dishes after food service Assist in the kitchen as required Maintain the cleanliness of workspaces and the lodge in general Assist bartender with beverage preparation as needed Perform housekeeping duties throughout the property including cleaning of guest rooms, common areas and staff accommodations Maintain stock of housekeeping and service supplies and communicate needs to management Maintain organization and stock of inventory in retail store Perform any other duties required around the lodge as required for business operations

Skills and Requirements



Resume & proven experience as a server Experience in fine dining establishments an asset. A positive, team-orientated attitude Well-groomed and professional demeanor Adaptable to the requirements of the business and have a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed Strong interpersonal and communication skills both with guests and fellow colleagues Exemplary guest service skills with the ability to understand the guests' needs and go above expectations Capable of maintaining composure and a high-level of guest service in a busy environment Able to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment Physically capable to be moving around and on your feet for the majority of a working shift Willingness to work a variety of shifts in different capacities within the lodge Awareness of environment and able to anticipate the needs of guests and fellow colleagues alike Capable of working independently and effectively managing required duties of the day Highly organized with a vigorous attention to detail Hold a valid Serving it Right an asset Passion for the outdoors is an asset. Ability to balance work & social life.

Winter Operations



Knowledge of general guest information including dietary's, skiing, the lodge and weather.

Working conditions



Accommodation and meals are supplied while working. Winter schedules will work on a 7-days on, 7-days off rotation, working no more than 80 hours within a 2-week period Keefer Lake lodge is located 14km down a logging road. Staff are required to have a reliable vehicle to get them to and from work. The road is regularly ploughed so is accessible via 2wd and 4wd drive vehicles. Winter tires are essential

Terms of employment



Have reliable transportation to travel to and from the lodge for scheduled shifts. The ability to live on-site during working shifts within a shared staff accommodation in a remote location Flexible to work a diverse schedule to accommodate the business needs Fluent in the English language Legally authorized to work in Canada
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
