Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum to join our dental practice. We are a busy clinic with long-term established patient base and fun working environment.

We do most general dentistry procedures including filling and implant restorations, crowns and bridges, oral surgery, endo, and whitening.

This position is for Thursday's starting between 7:30-8:15am and ending at 4pm. Applicant must have at least 2 years of experience and be able to work as the solo dentist. The position is to cover maternity leave for the principal dentist which starts in Feb 2026 and ends around October 2026. Potential for permanent associate position in the fall if that is desired.

As an Locum, you will provide quality dental care to our patients and assist in maintaining their oral health.

Duties:

- Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning

- Provide general dental services including fillings, extractions, and cleanings

- Perform specialized dental procedures such as root canals, crowns, and bridges

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care

- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment

Experience:

- Must have a valid dental license in the Province of British Columbia

- Previous experience working in a dental office (minimum 2 years)

- Familiarity with dental software (i.e. Tracker, Cleardent, Power Practice)

Skills:

- Excellent clinical skills in general dentistry procedures

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well within a team environment

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

We offer competitive compensation as 37-40% of collection for our Locums, based on experience. Compensation includes percentage on recalls and x-rays but excludes lab fees.
