Novo Nordisk is looking for a Local Vendor Manager to strengthen country-level partnerships with clinical vendors and ensure excellent delivery of Decentralised and traditional trial services. You will join our Clinical Operations ecosystem and work closely with trial teams, CRAs and regional vendor leads. This is a full-time remote position that can be based anyplace in Canada.
Your new role
As the Local Vendor Manager, you will own country-level relationships with clinical vendors to ensure operational excellence and alignment with global vendor strategy. You will coordinate local execution of FSP/FSO partnerships and support Decentralised Clinical Trial delivery, while driving vendor performance, compliance and continuous improvement across cross-functional stakeholders.
Some of your responsibilities will be:

• Manage and develop vendor partnerships locally, overseeing selection, qualification, onboarding and ongoing performance monitoring in line with global sourcing strategy.
• Lead the country execution of FSP and FSO agreements, acting as the primary liaison with CDCs, regional and IO teams to ensure consistent delivery and feedback consolidation.
• Support Trial Teams in vendor coordination for Decentralised Clinical Trials (DCTs) and resolve site-level vendor issues in collaboration with CRAs.
• Identify and mitigate vendor risks by escalating concerns, coordinating remediation plans, and contributing local insights to capability assessments.
• Drive vendor improvement initiatives and innovation sourcing, ensuring adherence to GCP, regulatory requirements and inspection readiness while coordinating contract and finance interactions.

Collaborate closely with external vendors to streamline operational processes and ensure timely, high-quality support for the Trial Team throughout the study lifecycle.
Your Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 2+ years' experience in clinical vendor management, contracting or site-related collaborations within the pharmaceutical industry or CROs.
• Comprehensive understanding of CRO partnerships, outsourcing models, and contract management processes, with strong business acumen.
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to resolve conflicts, delivering solution-oriented outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure high-quality execution of vendor activities in compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory standards, and company policies; proficiency in project management principles and vendor management systems.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with excellent organisational, analytical and decision-making capabilities; proactive, accountable and focused on continuous improvement.

You communicate clearly across matrixed teams and external partners, negotiate constructively under pressure, and prioritise actions to keep complex programs on track. Practical, solution-oriented and detail-minded, you also foster a culture of continuous improvement and ownership within the vendor ecosystem.

Salary: for this role the Annual Base salary ranges from $116,680 - $166,680.
The placement in the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on your skills, competencies, knowledge and relevant experience match the position requirements.
Incentives: based on the role's level and other factors, the salary package may include short-term (STI) and/or long-term (LTI) incentives.
