Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced
Local City Driver
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight and materials within the Lower Mainland, starting from our Richmond terminal located at12880 Shell Road, Richmond, BC
. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience, a strong understanding of transportation regulations, and a commitment to safety. Drivers will be home the same day after each shift.Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles to complete local city deliveries. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules, updates, and any delivery challenges. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (required). Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. Ability to handle local city deliveries on a consistent basis. Strong knowledge of commercial driving safety standards and regulations. Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
