We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Local Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting freight and goods within the local area, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and have experience operating heavy equipment and forklifts. Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight within designated local routes Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, or related fields Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs if needed Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Physical ability to load/unload freight and operate heavy machinery as required
