North Element is a progressive, growing manufacturing/packaging family company that primarily manufactures/packages ice melt, packages fertilizer, liquid filling/packaging, and blow molding products. We have 2 robotic bag stacking lines as well as other dry goods bag lines, liquid formulation, liquid filling and a blow mold machine in place. What we offer:

Full time (Monday - Friday) 40-hours per week employment. Overtime paid after 44 hours.

Day shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm with extra hours required during the busy season.

$20.00 - $30.00 hourly rate dependent on knowledge, experience & certification.

WHMIS and 4 Steps - Health and Safety Awareness training will be provided if not trained previously.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure the safe operation of machinery in compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Perform pre-operational inspections. Inspect & clean Loader at the end of shift. Report issues to the Warehouse Manager.

Performs routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.

Able to operate the loader in a safe manner around other employees and to communicate effectively and politely with all employees. Load trucks with finished product for customers. Remove finished product from hot bay, move & convey to appropriate cold storage bays as required. Report all mechanical problems immediately to the Warehouse Manager. Able to work overtime during busy season as required.
Follow all Health and Safety requirements to perform the job duties.

Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Attendance and punctuality are a priority with flexibility to work extra hours outside of the normal schedule when required.

Must have a positive attitude and good work ethic with good communication skills.

Ability to function individually as well as in a team environment with limited supervision.

Experience with conveyors and being mechanically inclined would be an asset.

High school diploma required or equivalent.

Previous experience of 1-3 years of operating heavy equipment is preferred.
Loader Operator Certification is preferred but not necessary based on work experience
