Job Description

Role Summary:

The Loader Operator/Yard Worker's main duties are to feed the concrete plant with aggregate and stockpiling material. Other duties include loading and unloading palletized and non-palletized stock, maintaining the yard's cleanliness and organization, and assisting with general labor duties as required in a concrete manufacturing environment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of the yard, supporting production, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

:

Operate a front-end loader to transport and load raw materials such as sand, gravel, and cement into hoppers and storage bins. Maintain proper stockpile management to prevent contamination and ensure accurate inventory levels. Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on equipment, reporting any mechanical issues to the maintenance team. Assist in general yard work, including cleaning, organizing materials, and maintaining a safe workspace. Support plant operations by supplying materials as required and assisting with equipment maintenance. Load and unload trucks, ensuring correct product placement and adherence to weight restrictions. Follow all safety protocols and workplace procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Conduct routine equipment checks, including fluid levels, tire conditions, and overall functionality. Assist in minor repairs and adjustments to machinery as necessary. Support production teams in batching, mixing, or transporting concrete as needed.
