Loader Operator - Snow Removal

Serving Southern New Brunswick, TerraEX is a family-owned and operated heavy civil construction company. TerraEX has been in business since 2001 and specializes in site development, site services, demolition, municipal infrastructure, landscaping and snow removal working with private development and all levels of government.

We are currently seeking a Loader Operator for Snow Removal Operations to join our team for the 2025-2026 winter season. This position is in Saint John, NB and surrounding areas. We are looking for a reliable, experienced operator who can support our winter maintenance team during storms and keep our commercial and residential clients' properties safe and accessible.

Responsibilities

Operate loaders equipped with snow buckets, pusher boxes, and other attachments for the purpose of commercial snow clearing Safely and efficiently remove snow from parking lots, roadways, loading zones, and access routes Assist with snow hauling and loading trucks when required Perform site checks for icy conditions and report hazards Follow storm call-out instructions and respond promptly when contacted Operate heavy equipment in a safe, controlled manner Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and complete daily logs Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance (greasing, fuel checks, inspections) Wear appropriate PPE at all times Communicate effectively with supervisors, truck drivers, and on-site personnel Comply with all company health, safety, and operational policies

Requirements

Class 5 Licence with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation Minimum 2 years of experience operating a loader (winter or construction experience acceptable) Experience with snow removal operations is considered a strong asset Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays during storm events Strong observation skills and attention to detail--must be able to detect hazards and avoid property damage Ability to follow safe work procedures and operate heavy equipment responsibly Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to use tools and equipment required to perform the work
