Reporting to the Inventory / Yard Manager, this role is responsible for supporting Logistics and Yard operations by operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Main Responsibilities
Perform pre-trip inspection daily.
Safely transport product and accessories.
Organize and coordinate parts in the yard as jobs are in progress.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks of equipment.
Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and / or required.
Maintain service reputation and customer satisfaction in the yard with proper and timely job execution.
Review and assess asset management in the yard,
Support Shipper/Receiver in managing movement of parts.
Inspect and report damages on incoming and outgoing freight.
Preform piece counting on incoming freight to ensure accuracy of delivery.
Ensure safety procedures and initiatives are executed, support incident reporting, facilitate compliance with yard maintenance.
Comply with Health & Safety program and occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
Perform other duties as required.
Secondary Responsibilities
Rake the yard at least once per week.
Walk the yard 30 minutes each day to inspect for deficiencies.
Clean yard of debris, weeds, and dunnage.
Fill in potholes and level out yard from water damage.
Assist team members with load outs as needed.

Experience and Education
High school diploma / GED.
Loader Operator Certification training an asset.
2-3 years experience operating a loader, handling tubular products.
Working Conditions
The work performed is carried out outdoors year round
A medium stress environment due to timelines
Shift Availability
Monday to Friday - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Overtime available, ability to work longer hours when needed
