We are seeking a skilled and experienced Loader Operator to join our Ferrous team Monday to Friday 6:30am, every other Saturday as needed on a biweekly rotation.
What you're responsible for:
Safely operate a loader to handle and process metal materials efficiently
Load, unload, sort, and move metal materials using the appropriate equipment
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, conduct pre-start checks and adhere to safety protocols during equipment operation
Sort and separate different types of metal materials based on specifications and quality requirements, ensuring proper segregation
Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including equipment usage, production quantities, and any incidents or maintenance activities
Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other team members to coordinate work, share information, and ensure a smooth flow of operations
Qualifications
To join our team:
Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
Valid operator certifications
Strong knowledge of equipment safety practices
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
