We are seeking a reliable and experienced Loader Operator to efficiently manage snow removal operations during winter months in an on-call, weather-dependent role.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Wheel Loader to ensure safe and accessible parking lots. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and safety procedures, with an emphasis on maintaining efficient snow-clearing operations in challenging weather conditions. Experience required.
Transition to full time work may be possible.
Responsibilities
Operate wheel loader to clear snow from designated areas.
Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
Apply salt or de-icing materials as needed to prevent ice buildup
Conduct minor mechanical repairs or adjustments to equipment when necessary
Maintain detailed records of completed work
Follow all safety protocols related to construction and machinery operation
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work progress and safety concerns
Experience
Prior experience required
Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is highly desirable
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, with varying hours (early or late starts, long shifts, etc.) and handle physically demanding tasks with attention to safety standards
