Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Loader to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of materials, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations. This position requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various equipment safely and effectively.

Duties

Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks. Operate heavy equipment including cranes and order pickers as needed for efficient material handling. Ensure accurate order picking by utilizing RF scanners and warehouse management systems. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges. Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and heavy lifting practices is essential. Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or other heavy equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes along with order picking procedures is beneficial. A background in construction or mechanical fields can be an advantage. Prior experience with warehouse management systems will be considered a plus.
