Bashir Food Distribution Inc., a franchisee of Bimbo Canada is looking for a Load Builder & Delivery Driver, in Regina Saskatchewan.

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation (5-ton box truck), safety regulations, and the ability to handle freight effectively.

Responsibilities

Job requires early morning start time. Could be as early as 2 am. Set up and load orders by customer in warehouse. Safely operate delivery vehicle (5-ton box truck) to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of delivery receipts. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience in commercial driving preferred; familiarity with freight handling is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight. Physically fit and able to perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting. Experience of driving a 5-ton box truck in the city and highway
