The Opportunity

Safex Transport is currently hiring a

Load Booker / Dispatcher

to join our operations team.

This position plays a key role in managing day-to-day freight activities, maintaining strong relationships with customers and brokers, and ensuring seamless coordination between dispatch and drivers. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Secure and manage freight loads (LTL and FTL) through online load boards (e.g., Loadlink, ITS) and direct customer engagement Maintain clear, ongoing communication with customers to confirm load details, provide updates, and resolve service issues Schedule and coordinate pickup and delivery appointments Monitor shipment progress, proactively identify delays, and communicate any issues to relevant stakeholders Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner Ensure accuracy of data and documentation within dispatch and transportation management systems Collaborate closely with internal dispatch and driver teams to align operational goals Manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

Prior experience in freight booking, dispatch, brokerage, or logistics operations (

preferred

) Familiarity with

Loadlink

,

ITS

, or other load board platforms (

an asset

) Proven experience managing

LTL freight

Exceptional multitasking, time management, and organizational abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in

Microsoft Office Suite

(Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment A collaborative team player with a

solution-oriented approach

Experience with

TransPlus Fleet Manager

is considered an asset
