Freeman Herbs is looking for an energetic, detail oriented and driven candidate to fill our Living Greens Lead position. The successful candidate will be self motivated, with a strong attention to detail and passion for living greens and horticulture.


As a Living Greens Lead your responsibilities will include:



Planting 'live greens' plugs into rafts. Assist with maintaining and enforcing quality standards across production lines to ensure product consistency. Harvesting 'live greens' into clam shells. Assist with prioritizing and processing daily customer orders within required timeframes. Assist with identifying and reporting any issues related to product quality, pests, or insufficient supply to the Grow Team. Packaging and boxing 'live greens' into clam shells. Following Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning rafts, benches, carts, and tables. Assist with ensuring compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and help train staff accordingly. Assist with ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and company policies and procedures.

Education/Skills Required:


Completion of horticultural/agricultural diploma or degree program or related field. Minimum of 2 years of greenhouse experience Self motivated. Able to manage a small team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with competing deadlines. Strong attention to detail with proven analytical, decision making and strategic thinking skills. Availability on weekends and holidays with extended hours during seasonal periods.
