As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of support within their own homes. Your compassionate care and dedicated assistance will empower clients to maintain their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort. What you'll do

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure clients' health and well-being. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to cater to dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Observe and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors to family members or healthcare professionals. Support clients with mobility assistance, including the use of specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts. Implement care plans tailored to each client's unique needs, including those requiring memory care or support for developmental disabilities.

Experience

Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and documentation practices adhering to HIPAA regulations. Proficiency in first aid and CPR certification is preferred to ensure client safety during emergencies. Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism, or other developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families are essential for success in this role. A background in social work or nursing can enhance your effectiveness as a caregiver.
