Live In All Rounder
Have you always wanted to explore Nelson and the surrounding area? Then this live-in position is for you!
Reporting to the General Manager, the "Live - In" is responsible for delivering the best possible guest experience. The role includes all aspects of our small sized hostel including housekeeping, reception and on-call overnight duties. We want you if you are a problem-solver with great organizational skills and a can-do mentality.
Core Responsibilities:
Housekeeping: You ensure the hostel is cleaned to a high standard and ready for the next guest. Reception: You offer guests your expert local advice and make sure their stay is an enjoyable one. On-Call: You live on site and will be the first point of contact for any guest issues/needs during the evening and night time hours. This involves a quick close down of the hostel in the evening and being on-call while you sleep.
Compensation:
$18.50 per hour Discounted stays at HI Canada while working with us Part Time Hours (Morning Shifts: 9am-12:30pm & Evening Shift 3:45pm-8pm) On-call overnight duties are compensated with discounted rent in a private room. Cost of discounted rent is $50 a week. Rent to be returned upon completion of contract. 6 month commitment Start Date: Mid November (winter season)About Hostelling International
