Job Vacancy: Little Readers Phonics Teacher/Tutor (Ages 4-5)

Key Responsibilities:

Design and plan lessons for small groups of children aged 4-5, based on developmental needs and early literacy objectives. Teach foundational reading skills including phonics, letter recognition, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and fine motor skills. Engage children in interactive, play-based activities that make learning to read fun and meaningful. Monitor and support each child's progress, providing encouragement and feedback to build confidence and self-esteem. Maintain a professional, safe, and nurturing learning environment.

Position Requirements:

Availability: Minimum : 10-15 hours per week. Commitment until the end of the term is preferred. Location: In-person role at Pebbles and Piaget Early Learning; commuting required. Screening: Vulnerable sector check mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience:

Experience teaching or tutoring children aged 4-5 years. Strong oral and written English communication skills. Ability to manage and engage up to three students at a time.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
