About the Firm

606 Essex Chambers is a boutique law firm that primarily represents clients in commercial disputes, general corporate matters, as well as tax audits and disputes.

We are looking for a lawyer with at least 3 years of commercial litigation experience in British Columbia to join our growing boutique law firm. The ideal candidate will have a good academic record, solid writing skills, and enjoy a high degree of responsibility and autonomy early on in his or her career.

The candidate's job responsibilities will primarily include:

Legal research. Preparing pleadings, applications, affidavits, and other litigation documents. Conducting examination for discoveries. Attending chambers hearings. Conducting trials. Engaging in settlement negotiations.

Minimum Qualifications

Law degree from a Canadian or other common law jurisdiction. Member of the Law Society of British Columbia in good standing. 3+ years of commercial litigation experience at a reputable firm in British Columbia.

Skill Set Required

Clear and concise legal writing skills Capable of working independently Able and willing to interact and communicate with clients from time to time

Pay: $170,000.00-$250,000.00 per year
