606 Essex Chambers is a boutique law firm located in Burnaby, British Columbia specializing in commercial litigation and general corporate matters. We are also developing a foreclosure practice. We are committed to delivering high-quality legal services with efficiency, creativity, and integrity.
Position
We are seeking an experienced litigation lawyer with significant expertise in
commercial litigation and/or foreclosure matters
to join our growing practice.Qualifications
4+ years of experience
in commercial litigation, insurance defence, and/or foreclosure matters. Proven track record of courtroom advocacy, includingat least one full trial
as lead or co-counsel. Experience taking at least six examinations for discovery. Strong drafting skills, particularly with respect to pleadings and applications.Work Flexibility
The candidate may work remotely if he or she wishes but will be required to attend the office (for client and internal in-person meetings) or court on an as-needed basis. The position is somewhat geographically flexible once the candidate demonstrates his or her ability to perform at a satisfactory level. A candidate may have the flexibility to work remotely from a different country for a few months out of a year if reasonable arrangements are made beforehand.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00-$230,000.00 per year
