Job Title: Liquor Store Sales Associate Employment Type: Full Time/Part Time
All the advantages of working for a larger, stable, company, but with all the energy and fun that comes with a smaller operation! Located in the heart of downtown Victoria the Strath Liquor Merchants is looking for a sales associate to join our team of knowledgeable liquor industry professionals. We are currently looking for enthusiastic people to hire at all levels. Part time and Full-time positions are available, with compensation packages ranging from $18-$23 per hour, depending on experience. In the store we foster a knowledge-based environment, offering top-notch product information to our varied clientele. Come check out the store, and if you\xe2\x80\x99re looking to find a place to learn, have fun, and work hard, come join our team. Available shifts are flexible, including a mix of days and evenings. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Duties include but not limited to:

• providing an outstanding shopping experience by exceeding our customer\'s needs and expectations
• maintaining product knowledge
• respond to customer inquiries
• providing recommendations to meet customer needs and upselling to increase sales
• cashier functions, processing timely and accurate customer purchase transactions (in-store and on the webstore)
• adhering to all company policies and legal requirements
• ensuring stock levels are maintained - restocking and rotating product inventory
• other operational responsibilities as experience dictates

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Valid Serving it Right Certificate, required
• Top-notch customer service skills
• Knowledge of wine/beer/spirits, and a strong desire to learn
• Previous liquor store or retail experience is an asset
• Must be able to lift 40lbs and stand for long periods of time
