Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while promoting and selling our products. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and the ability to engage customers effectively. Your role will involve assisting customers with their purchases, conducting product demonstrations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience Check IDs and ensure compliance with liquor laws and regulations Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and technology sales trends Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store Assist with inventory management and deliveries

Skills

Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus Proficiency in technology sales and technical sales concepts Experience with merchandising and maintaining product displays Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and store layout effectively Customer service expertise with a focus on creating positive experiences Familiarity with phone etiquette for customer interactions over the phone Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities

Qualifications

Must be at least 19 years of age Serving It Right certification (required) Previous retail or liquor store experience is an asset but not required Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (days, evenings, weekends, holidays) Must be available to work weekends and evenings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
