Central Alberta Co-op is hiring 1 temporary full-time Liquor Manager Trainee at our Liquor Store locations in Red Deer, Alberta (will also spend time training in our Innisfail location).

Term: October 1, 2023 - January 6, 2024

Full-time: 40 hours/week.

Availability requirements: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Under the direction of the Liquor Manager, supervise and train staff in the general operation of the liquor stores
• Assume total responsibility in the absence of the Liquor Manager
• Assist the Liquor Manager with scheduling, recruitment, and performance reviews
• Effectively plan, organize, and execute liquor programs
• Order and receive products and properly store or display
• Keep a clean and sanitary work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the industry is an asset but not required
• Great attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain focused on results
• Must have the commitment to complete the management trainee program
• Coaching and training skills
