POSITION SUMMARY:

The Linen Assistant Staff (LAS) member provides linen service(s) for St. Michael's Hospital.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fulfill all unit and department quotas as required.
• Deliver all quotas to each unit or department.
• Collect all empty clean linen carts.
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and Providence Healthcare's Health and Safety Policies.
• Adhere to Unity Health Toronto's Policies and Procedures, including Incident Reporting Policy.
• Actively demonstrate the Mission and Values set forth by Unity Health Toronto.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Completion of Grade 12 preferred;
• Good knowledge and basic mathematics skills;
• Must be able to push heavy carts up to 40 lbs and have good range of motion skills;
• Must be able to tolerate high temperatures and humidity in this environment;
• Good command of the English language, both oral and written;
• Very good attendance record;
• Good performance record.
