is a Telecommunication Construction Company in the Ottawa and surrounding area. We are actively seeking experienced Linemen to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints or job specifications to execute all work assigned safely and in accordance with Broadband Maintenance's health and safety policy. Work outdoors in various conditions to place copper or fibre optic telecommunication cables. Climb poles, ladders, and a variety of construction equipment to assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatus. String cables between structures, manholes, from poles, towers, or trenches and ensure that all are to proper tension. Clean and maintain tools and equipment. Accurately record and report project progress to the appropriate supervisory person and communicate any issues or expected delays. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role would be an asset. High school diploma. Valid Ontario driver's license with clean driving record required to operate company vehicles and equipment. Ability to lift 80 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to climb poles and work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet. Able to complete the necessary training for working at heights and confined space, pass the corresponding examinations and receive a client authorization number. Good communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
