Our client, in the logistics industry is seeking a Linehaul Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 drivers license with a clear driving history, skill in backing up to loading docks and the ability to perform multiple pick-ups and drop offs each day.Job Title: Linehaul Driver (Class 1)Location: Burnaby, BCPay Range: $28.49 to $35.71Shift: Monday to Friday - 45 hours/week - flexibility to work various shiftsThe Linehaul Driver drives to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt, trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements. Job requires working in shiftsWhat\xe2\x80\x99s the Job?

• Responsible for transporting customer freight in an effective and efficient manner
• Complete deliveries and pick-ups in both urban and rural locations as assigned
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Manual usage and handling of pump truck
• Work various hours (morning, afternoon or overnight) as required
• Ability to solve problems as they arise while on road
• Build positive relationships with both our internal and external customers (dispatch, colleagues , managers)
• Comply with all Corporate Policies and Procedures
• Work in a safe manner at all times

What\xe2\x80\x99s Needed?

• Valid Driver\'s License: Class AZ for 3+ years
• Clean Driving Abstract (please upload a current driver\'s abstract with your resume)
• Must successfully pass written & road test(s)
• Must successfully pass Defensive Driving course
• Must successfully pass Courier Methods training course
• Ability to read maps; Good sense of geographical direction
• Must be able to handle LTL freight and skids
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
