Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring that all dishes meet quality expectations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Perform inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional service to guests.
Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation.
Must be willing to cross train in all positions and ability to learn and cook all menu items.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Line Cook or Prep Cook within the restaurant or catering industry.
Familiarity with dietary department practices or experience as a dietary aide is a plus.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and fine dining standards.
Excellent food handling skills with an emphasis on safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience with menu planning and creativity in dish presentation is desirable.
