The Oakville Club is seeking a talented and passionate Line Cook/ Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. In this role, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining an organized kitchen.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations. Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards. Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including all cooking equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
