Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at Menjiro Ramen. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and cooking broth.
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and portion sizes
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying the chef or manager of any shortages or expired ingredients
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook or similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 35 per week

Licence/Certification:

Food Handler Certification (preferred)
