Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Handle food products safely, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Perform food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation while maintaining safety standards. Participate in catering events as needed, providing high-quality service in various settings. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.

Experience

Previous experience in a culinary role such as Line Cook or Prep Cook is preferred. Familiarity with fine dining environments is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality food presentation. Experience in the food industry with knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Background in restaurant or kitchen settings is beneficial, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure. Culinary experience with a focus on meal preparation, catering, and serving is highly valued. Dietary aide experience or knowledge of menu planning can enhance your application.
