Line Cook / Prep Cook
to join our growing kitchen team.
Job Summary
As a Line Cook / Prep Cook at Plank Restobar, you'll be responsible for preparing and executing menu items with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail. You'll play a key role in ensuring a high standard of food quality and kitchen cleanliness while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to Plank's recipes and standards.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
Follow prep lists and ensure food preparation is completed ahead of service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed (HACCP knowledge an asset).
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Receive deliveries, label and store food products properly.
Assist with inventory control and minimize food waste.
Take direction from the Head Chef and Sous Chef and execute tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
1+ year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team setting.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Passion for food and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.
