We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up and breaking down workstations.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food service environment.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Strong attention to detail with a passion for culinary excellence.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools is preferred.
Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is highly desirable.
Spanish language is preferable but not mandatory.
