We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves working collaboratively with all other staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared efficiently and in accordance with food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Ensure all food items are stored properly to comply with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
Follow proper food handling techniques to maintain the highest standards of hygiene.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Strong understanding of food safety practices within the food industry.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Knowledge of meal preparation processes and experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives, ovens, and grills.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work independently and multitask where necessary
