Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to food safety and excellence in the food service industry.

Duties

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas. Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices. Assist in meal preparation for special events or large orders as needed. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential. Strong skills in meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
