Hugos Mexcican Kitchen is seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team at our new kamloops location opening this August! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong food handling skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards. Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food service. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery. Help with inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of shortages. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties and equipment maintenance.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$23.41 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
