Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our restaurant maintains high standards of food quality and safety while providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and marinating as needed. Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are met. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Help with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages to management. Participate in menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal dishes or specials. Adhere to all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of meals served.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures is a plus. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by restaurant operations.

Pay: $15.00-$20.53 per hour
