Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items with precision and care
Follow recipes and plating standards to ensure consistency and quality in every dish
Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by managing multiple stations efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols at all times
Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and prep needs
Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation, kitchen work, or restaurant environments is highly preferred
Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Experience working in fine dining or high-volume food service environments is a plus
Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently under pressure
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is advantageous but not required
