Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests through efficient food preparation and cooking techniques.

Duties

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards while ensuring consistency in taste and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Assist in menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation during peak service hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management. Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Familiarity with serving techniques and meal presentation is a plus. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing responsibilities.
