Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals and ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly. This position requires attention to detail, excellent knife skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Follow recipes and menu plans to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards. Prepare meals according to dietary guidelines and customer preferences. Handle food safely and adhere to all health regulations during food preparation and service. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and efficient kitchen operations. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within the restaurant or catering industry. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary practices. Excellent knife skills and knowledge of proper food handling techniques. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that meet customer expectations.
